Here's a fun stamping project for you to try today....
Use a poinsetta stamp from any set - I've used the one from a new SU! set called "Berry Christmas", and make a wreath with it!
I started by stamping the ribbon (holder) at the top and the sentiment at the bottom. That let me see exactly where I needed to position the wreath.
Next step, stamp one flower beneath the bow. Then stamp one flower above the sentiment. Now you know how TALL the wreath will be.
Next step, stamp one flower on the left edge - centering between the top & bottom flower, and then repeat on the right. Now you have 4 flowers "outlining" the wreath. All you need to do now is stamp off one time, and add a flower in between each of these to round out the image. The full strength stamp & stamped off image will also give you depth for your project :-)
Don't worry if it isn't perfectly round!! The next-to-last step will be to add the berries. If you concentrate more on making a circle with the berries instead of trying to center them in the flowers, the eye will play an optical illusion when it sees the card and it will make the wreath look round!!
So give this a try!! I had to laugh at my Christmas Card Crank class because I had 4 new girls, 3 whom had NEVER TOUCHED A RUBBER STAMP!!! The 3 brand new girls breezed thru this card with flying colors! My experienced girls hesitated!! How funny is that?!!
This is a fun card, very simple, and good practice. I have a layer of Old Olive cs as my base (5 1/2 X 4 1/4), then Ruby Red (5 1/4 X 4) and the top is Very Vanilla (5 X 7 1/2 scored in half).
Don't forget the Dazzling Diamonds on top!!! OH, and don't forget that this stamp set is in the HOLIDAY MINI CATALOG and is retiring on January 4th!!!

Bruschetta Tortellini

Ingredients
Bruschetta Cheese Ball Mix
8 oz. cream cheese
1 1/2 cups milk
12 - 16 oz. prepared cheese or other filled tortellini
1/2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Combine first 3 ingredients in a large saucepan; stir with whisk over low heat until cream cheese melts. Stir in prepared tortellini and spinach; spread mixture in a greased 2-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle top with Parmesan cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes or until bubbling. Makes 6-8 servings.

Um....HELLO!!! I'm saying that to myself because I was having sooo much fun doing housework this morning (hello??) that I forgot to post the project for today!! How does that happen??
This cutie-patoodie project comes from MS. SARAH . She has put her Petal Card die to good use, I'd say! Isn't this cute?? She's included a Level 1 stamp from "Holiday Best" for the perfect finish. In fact, I've already told her that I plan on CASE-ing it for tonight!!
Which brings me 'round to telling you why I was having so much fun cleaning my house....it's because girlfriends are coming over!! Some of my friends in the Theatre Guild decided that since we'd put so much work into decorating our homes for Christmas - we're going to show them off! So tonight we're starting the "1st Annual Theatre Guild Christmas Tree Display"...or something or another. We haven't officially named it - but there you go!!
I'll try my best to remember my camera tonight & show you some pics tomorrow!!

Actually, the name of this stamp set is "Two Cool Dudes". But I'm only using 1 of the 2 Cool Dudes, so I changed the name!! (OK, I lead a small life - what can I say!!) :-)

We have more snow on the way here! I love the snow, and the snowmen.....as long as they're outside and I'm inside! Hopefully, we will make a major dent in our Christmas shopping today.

I had the pleasure this past weekend of spending time with some wonderful girls AND seeing a fantastic play at our local Opera House. This was our "2nd Annual Girls Day Out...Christmas Play at the OLD OPERA HOUSE ". Kind of a long name for a fun time - but there you have it!
Let me introduce the girls...left to right...that's me, Kathy, Allison, Chris, Karen & BJ. Don't we look festive?!! We kicked off the afternoon at a local restaurant by ordering waaaay too much to eat. Then, of course, we followed up that huge meal with desserts! The sweets were shared around the table, and were sooooo good.
To help celebrate the event, I made little cards for the girls AND little tealights - which I absolutely forgot to take a picture of!!! So now I have to re-create those little gifties so I can show you!! (I know, I know, I just can't seem to get my act together these days!!) But here are the cards - very simple little 3X3 featuring "Thoroughly Modern DSP", with Delightful Decorations stamp set & coordinating punch. I love the bright & fun colors!!
So even though I'm terribly forgetful about taking pictures of things, at least I got a good photo of the group. Maybe you'll let me come back here & post again?!!
